Western Sahara: Polisario Front condemns Morocco’s repression of activists.

SHAHEED AL-HAFID-The Polisario Front has firmly condemned the repressive acts by Morocco against the Sahrawi activists in the occupied cities of Western Sahara, said the National Secretariat in a statement.

In a statement issued after a meeting chaired by the Sahrawi President, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, BrahimGhali, the Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat reiterated its strong condemnation of “acts of repression, abuse, harassment and siege to which Morocco resorts against human rights activists and media professionals, like the case of Sultana Khaya and her family.”

He called on the United Nations to “assume its responsibility to protect the defenseless Sahrawi citizens, immediately stop the massive plundering of their natural resources, and to speed up the decolonization of Western Sahara so that the Sahrawi people exercise its inalienable right to self-determination and independence.” The Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front hailed on this occasion “the epics of defiance of the heroines and heroes of our people, as well as the steadfastness and resistance of the independence uprising, led by the lions of the epic of GdeimIzik and all Sahrawi civilian prisoners in Moroccan jails.”
