The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdelkader Messahel, takes part in the 16th Africa-Nordic Ministerial Meeting which will be held on 9 and 10 June in Abuja, Nigeria.
This meeting, which brings together the foreign ministers of 15 African countries and the five Nordic countries, is held under the theme “Ensuring sustainable development through investment”.
The Forum provides an exchange of views and experiences on issues related to peace and security, sustainable development and partnership between the Nordic countries and Africa. As part of its main theme, the meeting will address four important sub-themes related to peace and security, promotion of trade and investment, cooperation in agriculture and mining, and Gender equality and human rights.
At the end of the meeting, the ministers adopted many measures to strengthen the cooperation that exists between the two groups in order to face the common challenges related to peace and sustainable development.
On the sidelines of the Forum, Minister Messahel hold bilateral meetings with several heads of delegations.
