Repatriation of 54 Algerian nationals stranded in Libya.

54 Algerian nationals who were stranded in Libya for « illegal stay » have been repatriated to Algeria.

The operation was successfully completed in this holy month of Ramadhan with the cooperation and the assistance of the Libyan authorities who worked closely with the central services of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as with Algerian services Consular officials in Tunisia, including the Consulate in Gafsa,

These Algerian nationals, lacking documents and resources, could be regrouped in Tripoli before their consular treatment to be repatriated by air from Tripoli to Algiers via Tunis.

A first group of twenty-three people was repatriated on June 7, the second, composed of thirty-one people, arrived in Algiers June 14th.
