During their stay in Uganda, the Head of the high level delegation of police experts, Police Monitor (Controller) BABA Salim, was today received by Hon. Obiga Kania, State Minister for Internal Affairs, along with Farid BOULAHBEL, the Algerian Ambassador to Uganda.
The State Minister welcomed the Algerian delegation and expressed his satisfaction with the progress so far made in as far as cooperation between the two countries in the police field is concerned. On this occasion, he underlined the solidarity and mutual trust which characterizes the relations between the two countries in several areas; the Algerian experience in the fight against terrorism and crime in all its forms as well as the efforts made by the Ugandan Government to improve the performance of its police institution in the direction of greater professionalization professionalization based on wider use of modern technological methods.
The Director of Interpol/Uganda office and the Counter-Terrorism Director of the Ugandan police attended the meeting.
