Algeria’s participation in the 30th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State & Government of the African Union. Addis Ababa, 28/29 January 2018.
Under the Theme: “Winning the Fight against Corruption: A Sustainable Path to Africa’s Transformation”, the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the AU will officially open on 28 January and close on 29 January 2018, in the presence of the AU leadership, officials of the AU Commission and Organs; the representatives from partner Organisations, the Diplomatic Corps and invited guests.
Prime Minister, Mr. Ahmed OUYAHIA, will represent H.E President Abdelaziz BOUTEFLIKA at the various pan-African summit meetings to be held in the Ethiopian capital from 27th to 29th January 2018, namely the 27th session of the African Peer Review Mechanism Forum (APRM), the 36th session of the NEPAD Steering Committee, the Peace and Security Council Summit and the 30th Summit of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM).
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Mr. Abdelkader MESSAHEL.
On the sidelines of this summit, the Prime Minister will have a busy agenda including the presentation by Algeria of a report on the prevention and fight against terrorism and violent extremism in Africa, within the mandate entrusted to the President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, appointed by his peers in 2017 as AU Coordinator in the prevention and fight against terrorism and violent extremism in Africa.
For her part, Minister of National Solidarity, Family and the Status of Women, Mrs Ghania Eddalia will represent Algeria at the 20th session of the Ordinary General Assembly of the Organization of African First Ladies Against HIV / AIDS, scheduled for 25-29 January in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
